Hello Matthias,

I read Natascha's blog and then your blog via comments section.
Comments on her blog add many more perspectives to the original idea.
I think 'Being Myself' is the only mantra that I follow on these sites.
I go by twitter heading 'What's happening? ' or 'What's in your mind?'.
Another important aspect that I consider is 'Respecting individual'.
I also feel that twitter acts as my technological news source.
However, after reading the blogs I may have to consider my followers before tweeting. :)

p.s. - This blog was published in January and I am reading in December.

Regards,
Kumud

Hi Matthias,

by far the best piece on twitter i have found so far. there are a lot of top 10 lists, but they try to trivialize and so become too funny for their own good. i agree with most if not all the points you and Natasha are making, the tool is new enough to allow for variation here and there and this may be the best part. i can't even think of what the life will be after twitter.

thanks again for such a comprehensive blog.

Matthias. Entirely agree with your analysis of putting the "personal" into the professional. It's what I call the human face of business and without it anything "professional" would be faceless marketing (IMHO). I am also thinking of the epic efforts, political and humanitarian in crisis, where a face makes such a difference. Think of Iran and the twitter heroes or the earthquake in Haiti.

I've always struggled with this topic because there are those who might feel that personal has little place in business context, but I think most people "do business" with people they trust, or trust a brand based on human interactions.

Thanks so much for an intelligent/thought provoking rebuttal to a good thought provoking post by Natascha.

@Martin: Thanks mate. Fully with you on this one. Twitter is a great medium - especially if you follow the right people. My horizon has become so much broader since I'm following some of the smartest people there are in the SAP ecosystem!

Natascha: it was not meant to be a rebuttal blog, but rather a reply to it that turned out to be the longest Follow Friday recommendation I ever wrote. :)

Looking forward to what you have in store for us next time!

Thanks for the shout-out :)
The great virtue of Twitter is the connectivity, from Australia where I am, to the US, Denmark, the UK, Germany etc.
Keep up the good work !!
